Welcome to Shortcut! ๐Ÿ™Œ

Simple, smart, scalable project management tool that you'll actually love using! Shortcut provides a number of views into your teamโ€™s work. To get started it takes less than a minute, watch this video for a quick tour.

Setting Up Your Profile and Workspace ๐Ÿ‘ค

If you are new to Shortcut, the first thing you should do is set up your profile and your Workspace (if you are the Workspace administrator or owner). You can do this by clicking on your User Icon in the lower left corner.

We encourage you to set up Two Factor Authentication (2FA) and to encourage all your teammates to do the same. You can see which users have it disabled by going to Settings > User Directory. The alert symbol indicates that 2FA has not yet been activated.

Here's information on how to login after you've enabled 2FA.

Learn more about the core features and how they fit together here

Stories are the standard unit of work in Shortcut and represent individual features, bugs, and chores. You can click the large green Create Story button on the Dashboard, Teams, or Stories page to create a new story. More on adding Stories here.

An Epic is a collection of Stories that together make up a larger initiative that your organization is working on. Oftentimes an Epic can be a place for multiple Project teams to work together toward a shared goal. Learn how to create an Epic here.

On the Stories page, Stories are displayed in columns. You can change the priority and state of Stories by dragging them around. The background color denotes the type of Story. You can control the scope of what youโ€™re looking at by selecting filters, Projects, Epics, and workflow state columns. These combinations can be saved as Spaces that you can quickly come back to later. More on Spaces here.
