Shortcut supports text formatting, links, @-mentions, and emojis using markdown (more details here). In addition to plain text comments, Shortcut also assists you in adding this additional formatting to your comments.
Just click on the emoji, "@" symbol, link, or italicized "I" to search for the formatting you need and pull down helpful markdown text.
You can also react to Story comments using emoji.
